How to present yourself as a candidate:

Work Set is actively accepting candidates who meet these qualifications:

One to two years of skilled experience  Check to see if your occupation is skilled

NOC codes 0, A or B

International recruitment is not providing a resume and expecting a job offer!

A resume DOES NOT make you eligible to become a candidate.

Once a job offer is received your application to CIC MUST be submitted within 10 days.

After 10 days the job offer is revoked and another candidate is provided a change for the job.

Gather ALL of your documents and supply all information. If you require assistance with your documents you may attend a VAC to assist in

  • answer questions in local languages and make sure that applications are complete
  • transmit application documents and passports to the visa office securely
  • return passport and decision documents securely
  • offer a tracking service
  • schedule interviews and provide application photographs and photocopies for a fee
  • provide access to a computer to apply online
  • collect biometrics (fingerprints and photograph)

FIND YOUR LOCAL VAC

All potential candidates MUST supply ALL of the documents listed below to become an eligible candidate.

Once you have all of the documents below, including your police report then you will be eligible to become a candidate.

A candidate package includes all of the following.

-Application for a work permit made outside of Canada. IMM1295   You DO NOT NEED to verify this document and it does not require a barcode. Fill out as much information as you have available to you. Our office will be assisting in the completion of this and remaining documents once you provide remaining documents and have a valid job offer.  

-Family Information-IMM5707  Dated and signed

-Statutory declaration of common law union (If required) IMM5409

-Proof of your current immigration status-If your country of residence differs from your immigration status, your must provide proof of legal status in your country of residence

-Photocopy of your marriage license/certificate

-Valid passport Your passport should be valid for at least six months from the date of travel to Canada. Include all cancelled or expired passports, if applicable. If you do not reside in your country of citizenship, provide your work permit or temporary stay permit.

-A photocopy of the bio-data page of your passport.

-Copies of birth certificates for your spouse and minor children, your marriage certificate, as applicable.

-Evidence that you meet the requirements of the job offer (for example: employment references outlining previous jobs and job duties, copies of relevant education certificates, proof of professional qualifications).

-6 months of bank statements

-6 months of payroll statements

-Proof or certificate of studies, diplomas, etc

-Original police certificate issued during the past 3 months. Police clearance must be from each country you have lived in for 6 months or longer since age of 18

-two (2) photos of yourself and accompanying family members that meet the Visa application photograph specifications.

All documents must be labelled with the candidate full name and document type.

Eg. Last Name_First Name_Document Type

Document All documents must be in English or French- if not in English or French you must include the original document and a certified translated copy.
POLICE CLEARANCE One police clearance from each country you have lived in for 6 months or longer from age of 18. Police clearances are valid for 90 days regardless of the expiration date written on the clearance.
EDUCATION DOCUMENTS A copy of  all your education certificates including high school.

If divorces a copy of your divorce certificate.

If widowed a copy of your spouse death certificate

Documents required:

POLICE CLEARANCE

One police clearance from each country you have lived in for 6 months or longer from age of 18.

EDUCATION DOCUMENTS

A copy of  all your education certificates including high school.

These must be in English or French.

MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE

If you are married a copy of your marriage certificate.

If divorces a copy of your divorce certificate.

If widowed a copy of your spouse death certificate

BIRTH CERTIFICATE

A copy of your birth certificate.

EMPLOYMENT CERTIFICATE(S)

A certificate of employment from each company you have worked for.

The certificate should include a job title, number of months worked, number of hours worked, and job duties. This information is often essential for your application for both a work permit and future permanent residency.

The employers place of business, phone number, email ID, and tax number should be included. If the employer is absent then the manager should be the contact person on your certificates.

PAYSLIPS FOR THE PAST 3 MONTHS OR MORE

Save your payslips! You will need them.

PASSPORT PHOTOS
